“At Terracon, we recognized the importance of public relations to consistently and strategically promote our engineering services, but we lacked the time to complete these vital tasks. We put Rhino PR in charge of our public relations, and they immediately took charge and delivered results. They helped us showcase our specialized project work and talented employees, raising visibility for the firm. It was detrimental for our growing business to not be promoting our great skills, but now we can rely on Rhino PR to continuously spread awareness of our services. As experts not only at public relations, but also as specialists in the AEC industry, Rhino PR should be the first choice of any industry firm looking to create name recognition.”
~ William Johnson, Former Client Development Manager, Northeast Division, Terracon
Terracon is an employee-owned engineering consulting firm that has provided environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services since 1965. The multi-discipline firm, serving all 50 states nationwide with more than 3,500 employees in 130 offices, had achieved significant expansion through both internal growth and acquisitions. In order to continue growing the firm, Terracon needed to accurately and consistently raise visibility of their services in the New England region. They knew the importance of public relations, but lacked the ability to self-supervise to accomplish PR tasks.
Rhino PR met with Terracon’s corporate PR team for a kick-off meeting and to coordinate our local efforts with Terracon’s national PR efforts. Rhino PR organized weekly check in calls and monthly meetings to gain an understanding of how Terracon operates and what company news was best suited for promoting. Rhino PR identified Terracon’s target audience and which key industry publications would best reach them. Additionally, Rhino PR identified area conferences for speaking opportunities as well as award programs as opportunities to further locally promote Terracon.
In only eight months, Rhino PR distributed seven press releases for Terracon, resulting in over 30 media placements in publications such as Banker and Tradesman, ENR, High-Profile Monthly, NEREJ, and NH Business Review. Rhino PR assisted Terracon employees with writing byline articles and published four articles in industry publications, helping to promote Terracon employees as experts in areas such as dynamic building enclosure commissioning and managing geotechnical risks. Rhino PR also secured a feature interview for a Terracon engineer in Crain’s Business Boston. [END]
