When I’m not working I am…Volunteering with Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue (YGRR). My husband and I have been home visit volunteers for YGRR for about 18 months. Along with our golden retriever Daisy, we interview prospective adopters and let YGRR know if we feel they could provide a good home for a rescue golden. Founded in 1985, YGRR now rescues goldens in China, Turkey, and Egypt through partnerships with local rescue organizations.
Who or what inspired you to join the construction industry? I guess you could say construction is in my blood. My paternal grandfather was a carpenter and my father was an architect in Connecticut for 40+ years. My father helped my grandfather build a house in Upstate New York, and then designed and built the house I grew up in. I was the first girl at my high school to take wood shop and still have the stool I built.
